Here is an update as of today. The well still isn't fixed but they are working on it literally as we speak and it should hopefully be done in a week. We bought some bunk beds for Eddy, Ana and their kids. They were all sleeping in the same bed. I think they have 3 kids. We also completed the water catchment, and completed the water catchment. We also had to replace the A/C in the master which was $600.
UPDATE ON THE WATER WELL

This is a very unfortunate series of event that concerns our well. We currently have no water at the house. Essentially the water pump went out and when they were trying to fix it someone through rocks down the well and now it a bigger issue. Here are the options that we have.
1) Fix the well that we have. This means moving the electricity poles and lines that currently block us from fixing the well. This means working with Union Finosa and the Alacadia and will not be easy.
2) Digging a new well. This means finding a place where we can do this. Cost would approx be $1-2K per household.
3) Rent a well. This may be the quickest way to get back online with water. Dexter owns a well in the valley opposite Selinas. He is willing to rent it to us for 1 year. We would manage it and pay him an annual fee. We would connect the pipes up the road, to our current system. We are waiting for him to come back to us with a rental price.

The bunk beds had an infestation of bugs and needed to be repaired.

We just got our water bill for the last 5 months. We are getting hosed (literally). The cost has gone up double in a year. I guess there are some new people taking care of it. We are doing more research to see what's going on.

The Captain's Perch concrete floor was damaged in the hurricanes of 2020.
So we reinforced the floor to prevent water leaking into the master.
